The Sixth China-Japan High-Level Economic Dialogue is set to take place in Tokyo on Saturday, Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yongqian said on Thursday, noting that the dialogue serves as a comprehensive platform for government-to-government communication and coordination on economic issues.

The spokesperson made these remarks during the ministry's press conference, stating that China-Japan relations are showing positive momentum in improvement and development, and the two economies are deeply integrated, with closely interlinked industrial and supply chains.

Resuming after a six-year hiatus, the dialogue serves as a crucial step in implementing the consensus reached by the two countries' leaders, according to the spokesperson.

China stands ready to work with Japan to achieve tangible outcomes and foster the stable and healthy development of bilateral economic and trade relations, according to the spokesperson.

Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will attend the 11th China-Japan-ROK Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Tokyo on Saturday. During his visit, he will also co-chair the Sixth China-Japan High-Level Economic Dialogue with Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs Takeshi Iwaya, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Recently, the China-Japan economic and trade sectors have witnessed positive exchanges, as Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao held talks with a Japanese delegation on February 18 to discuss bilateral economic and trade relations.

Wang expressed his desire to enhance business exchanges and visits between the business communities of both countries, and to deepen cooperation in areas such as green development, healthcare, elderly care, and service trade to support the healthy and stable growth of China-Japan economic ties.

During the meeting, Japanese business representatives emphasized that China-Japan trade, investment and people-to-people exchanges are deeply intertwined, and they expressed confidence that China's economic growth will bolster global stability and prosperity.
